These four apps will make the trip significantly smoother — especially for buying train tickets, getting around Prague, storing luggage on checkout days, and getting older family members between sights without long walks on cobblestones.

🧳 Bounce — Luggage Storage

On your Prague checkout day (June 29), drop your bags at a Bounce partner location after checking out of your rooms. Explore the city and do the 13:00 Castle Tour hands-free, then collect bags before the 18:49 train. Bounce partners with local shops, cafés, and hotels — book in the app, show a QR code, done.

🚂 KOLEO — Polish Train Tickets

The best app for buying Polish train tickets from the United States. American credit and debit cards work reliably — unlike the official PKP Intercity app which has widespread US card payment failures. KOLEO covers all operators and routes you'll need on this trip, at the same prices as the ticket office, with no extra fees.

📅 Booking window reminder: All domestic Polish EIP/IC trains open 30 days before departure. The Wrocław → Kraków EIP Pendolino on July 5 opens on June 5, 2026. Book immediately when the window opens — summer EIP trains sell out fast.

🚋 PID Lítačka — Prague Public Transport

The official Prague Public Transport app. Essential for buying tram, metro and bus tickets on your phone — you pay in the app and show a QR code to the inspector. No need to find a ticket machine or carry exact change.

A 24-hour pass (110 CZK / ~$5) covers unlimited tram and metro rides. If you're in Prague for 3 days, two 24hr passes or one 72hr pass (310 CZK) is the most economical option for the whole group.

🚗 Bolt — Ride-Hailing

Bolt operates across Poland and the Czech Republic and is significantly cheaper and more reliable than street taxis in all cities on this itinerary. Essential for getting older family members between sights without long walks, and for late-night returns when you don't want to navigate public transport.
